In the names of Allah the Most Gracious and The Most Merciful... Peace is upon you.
Today there was held a carnival in this CFS IIUM Nilai which was called Islamic Carnival 2009.As what we had been told, there will be events such as public speaking (syarahan agama), tarannum, nasyid, decoration, poem recital, khat and writing essay competition. The contestants were among dorms' representatives for both brothers and sisters.
For your information, I took part in the poem recital competition while my best friend, Asmaa took part in the public speaking. In other competitions, we also sent our representatives in khat (Hafizah), decoration- team 1(Amiradiha) and team 2(K .Tasnim), and also another representative in the poem recital was Anith Amira. What a disappointment! It's not as what I had expected before. For each competition, there were not more than three contestants except for khat and decoration. But as a professional, I must always be ready regardless of whatever the obstacles are. Last night, I had practiced reciting the poem with all my heart. So, the time is coming for me to show everybody my best performance. Throughout the moment, I was keep thinking that I can do this better than during the practice. When I stepped on the stage, one of the judges asked my name and quickly I answered his question. But, you know what he said to me? What name is that? And then I repeated my name and pronounced it clearly by using the microphone. Then, I proceeded to my poem recitation. Fortunately, I could perform better but a little bit tersasul la...I told myself, "It’s ok".
After that, it was the time for decoration competition. Without any planning, my friends, Hafizah and Amiradiha, and I participated in the competition. We did it for not wasting our time there and enjoy ourselves. We had no target to win this. An hour later, we had to send our masterpiece to the judges' table. The judges had been given opportunity to comment all about this program and its events. Ehm... Everybody was waiting for this moment for a long time.It was the prize giving ceremony. Of course I was quite nervous when the MC announcing the results. Praise to Allah! I won the poem recital competition...huhu...I was very happy of that, even though there were only three contestants. So, that’s what happened today in my life...after this i'm going to revise my study as the final exam is just around the corner.
That’s all from me...seeing you in the next page...Insyaallah.
These are some pictures of my friends and I...the first one is between me and Asmaa, and the second one is between Amiradiha and me.
